The building is surrounded by a landscape of singular urban squalor, the result of an expansion without rules with mostly abusive buildings then subject to building amnesty. The building is the completion of a block of multi-storey buildings, which generated a fragmented fabric that adapts to the topography in an almost random way. The project tries to mend the surrounding environment, using forms to meet the requirements of a new urban quality, to eradicate a “new way of living”.

The house is designed as a excavated monolith, which adapts to the regularity of the laying surface, made of concrete. In elevation is the solid that prevails over the void, and the shape of the artifact is characterized by jutting and other hollow elements, on the ground floor a portico generated by a single overhang without any pillar to support it. On the ground floor the garage – cellar, on it a two-storey volume that houses a different independent accommodation for each floor. The interior space of the house is articulated in relation to a large space that houses the living area communicating with the rest of the functions. The terrace will house a hanging garden, useful for collecting and recycling rainwater, as well as being designed for better thermal insulation than the last floor.
